Mr. Strain died early Friday morning, January 14, in the Jaackson Parish Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a Baptist and retired from Stone Container Corporation.
Survivors include three sons, Allen Strain of Baton Rouge, Tony Strain of Lufkin, TX and Joey Strain of Ft. Worth, TX; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Tolar of Jonesboro; one sister, Mrs. Mardell Roach of Quitman; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included David Walsworth, Gary Layfield, Kevin Garner, Ladelle Roach, William Strain and Rickey Allen
