William James Bingham Born 6 April 1802 at Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Married Eliza Alves Norwood, (15339416), 22 November, 1827, according to North Carolina Marriage Bonds...to 1868, Genealogical Society of Utah, 1936, page 29.

William James spent the first three years of his life at Chapel Hill, the next five at Hillsboro, North Carolina, and his later boyhood and early manhood on his Father's farm at Mount Repose, North Carolina, eleven miles north west of Hillsboro and five miles north of Mebane, North Carolina. After completing the course in his Father's school, he taught for several years in Williamsboro, in Granville County, North Carolina. In 1821 he entered the University of North Carolina and graduated in the class of 1825. When his Father died in 1826, William James became the second headmaster of the Bingham School.
