Celebration of life services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Fellowship West Auditorium with the Rev. Kyle Wilkinson and Greg Drees officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Denette was born Jan. 22, 1960, in Borger to Robert and Grace Ammons. She was raised in Borger before moving to Austin, where she graduated high school and eventually moved to Amarillo. She attended West Texas A&M University and met her husband, Tracy McClain. They were married on May 25, 1979, in Amarillo, where they began their family. They were devoted members of Trinity Fellowship Church, where she faithfully served in the children’s ministry.

At age 48, Denette went back to school to pursue a degree in occupational therapy and maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout her education. Denette was an avid fan of University of Southern California Trojans and Seattle Seahawks and enjoyed playing volleyball, both for city leagues as well as previously playing for WT.
