Barbara Jane Abbott, 72, of Bremerton, Wash. passed away on March 14, 2014. Barbara was born on March 10, 1942 in Seattle to Robert and Ruth "Jane" (Williams) Wells. In 1960, Barbara graduated from West High School in Bremerton and went on to marry Jim Abbott on Nov. 18, 1961 in Bremerton. She was a loving homemaker, who prior to marriage worked for Standard Oil in Seattle as a comptometer operator. Barbara was also a member with the Sounder Sams Chapter of the Good Sam Club.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents. Her memory will live on with her husband of 52 years, Jim; son, Randy Abbott of Bremerton; daughter, Lori Gibbs of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers, Robert Wells, Jr. of Bremerton and David Wells of Shelton, Wash.; and one grandchild, Alexander Abbott.
A memorial service with family and friends will be held this summer at a date to be determined.
