Minnie Irene Fry, age 84, of Winfield and formerly of West Chicago, passed away October 1, 2015, in Geneva, Illinois.

She was born on March 6, 1931 in Thornmburg, Iowa to George and Grace Souer. Minnie was married in 1951 to the late Ken Fry. She was a founding member of Faith Community Church in West Chicago, Sunday school bible study teacher, volunteer for the Illinois Food Bank and PADS. Minnie loved her family, friends and children and enjoyed traveling with her late husband Ken.

She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth(Carol)Fry of Naples, FL and Larry(Linda)Fry of Colfax, WA; six grandchildren, Mindy Fry, Kathleen Barela, Cassandra Chico, Joseph Chico, Eric Frey, and Michael Chico; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken in 2007; brothers, Jim and Lou Souer.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 2 to 6 pm at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St.(one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2 pm at Faith Community Church, 910 Main St, West Chicago. Burial at Sorden Cemetery in Webster, Iowa. In lieu of flowers contributions in Minnie's memory may be made to Faith Community Church.

Visitation-Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 from 10-11 am at the Holm Funeral Home. Graveside service to follow at the Sorden Cemetery near Webster, Iowa.
