Gladys Irene Crist, age 88, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015, in Comanche, Texas.

She was born on December 7, 1926, to Ed Mabra and Margaret R. McDonald.
On January 21, 1984, she was united in marriage to Andrew C. Crist. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2009.

Mrs. Crist worked as a meat inspector for the Texas Dept. of Health. She volunteered at Comanche Cares, and was active in the American Legion Auxillary. She had a zest for life like no one else, enjoyed traveling, playing a good game of SkipBo or 42, reading, and going to garage sales. Gladys was a member of East Side Baptist Church where she participated in the 50 & Over Club and was a faithful member of the Ruth Sunday School Class at East Side Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Terry Tackett and wife Amanda of Waco, Rickey Howell and wife Jeri of Stephenville, and Richard Howell of Houston; one daughter, Kay Isham and husband Vic of Comanche; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
