Giesbert, 78, of Harbert, who died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday at the Shoreham, Terrace Nursing Home, St. Joseph, may call from 3 to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Connelly-Noble funeral home here. Memorial services are to be held later at the University of Chicago, Chicago. Mr. Giesbert was a retired professor of art at the Chicago Art Institute at the University of Chicago.
He was born in Germany on June 1, 1893. He was married in Chicago on Jan. 29, 1929, to Frances Proudfoot, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Frederick J., of Normandy, France, and Edmund F., of Beverly Hills Cain.; six grandchildren; and two sisters, and a brother, all of Neuwied-on-the-Rhine, Germany.
