James H. Lawson, of Flint, Mich., formerly of Springfield, died about 5 a.m. yesterday in Hurley hospital, Flint, following a short illness. He was 49 years old.
Mr. Lawson was a member of the Morning Star Masonic lodge 556, Jenesee Valley Commandery 15, Knights Templar, and Elf Khurafeh Shrine temple, Saginaw, Mich.
Surviving are his wife, Emma F.; a son, Harold E., Flint; a brother, Lester, Rochester; a sister, Mrs. Della Swalley, Washington, D.C.; a granddaughter, Nancy Lawson, Flint; and several nieces and nephews.
The body will be received tomorrow afternoon by the Ellinger & Kunz funeral home.
Burial will be in Roselawn cemetery.
