Sterling Hart Allen, Jr., 93, of Ft Worth went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday September 30, 2015 in N. Richland Hills.

Graveside services celebrating Sterling’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Oddfellows Cemetery in Quinlan under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home.

Sterling was born on August 1, 1922 in Quinlan. He is the son of the late Perry M. and Sterling H. Allen, Sr. He was raised and educated in Quinlan. He graduated from Quinlan High School in June 1942.

He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was sent to Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland during which time he was awarded an EAME Ribbon, 3 Bronze Service Stars and a Good conduct Ribbon before his discharge in 1945.

Following his return to civilian life he became a sales representative for the Millers Mutual Insurance Company. Shopping was one of his favorite past times.

He is loved and will be missed by his great-nephew Scotty Wood and his wife Nannette of Watauga.

WWII veteran. Medium Tank Crewman - Co. A 735th Tank Battalion, attached to the 5th infantry. European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign (EAME) Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Ribbon. Battles and Campaigns - Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland.

The family of Sterling H. Allen, Jr. have asked the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders to stand a Flag Line at his interment service.
