Funeral services for Sharon Jeanette Swimmer, 68, of Gore, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Gore with Townsil Lane and Garner Garrison officiating.
Burial was at Swimmer Family Cemetery in Gore under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Swimmer was born on Sept. 26, 1947, in Mesa, Ariz., to Earl Walter Lane and Margaret Ann (Marshall) Lane. She died on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, in Gore.
She was housekeeper at Fin and Feather Resort.
She married James Edward Swimmer Sr. on July 9, 1965, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2001.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Laymon, Karen Laffoon and Jennifer Pennington, all of Gore; one son, James Edward Swimmer Jr. of Gore; four sisters, Linda Swimmer, Gina Laymon and Donna Kay Lane, all of Gore and Susie Lane of Fort Scott, Kan.; four brothers, Townsil Lane Sr., Mike Lane, Mickey Lane and Richard Lane Sr., all of Gore; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jimmy Joe Lane.
Pallbearers were James F. Swimmer Jr., Karen Laffoon, Jennifer Pennington, Bret Laymon, J.J. Laymon and Hunter Swimmer.
