Funeral services for Mr. Ralph N. Baker, 76, of West Monroe, LA, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 7, in White's Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe with Bro. Bill Smith officiating. Mr. Baker died Friday, September 5, 2003, in the Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the White's Ferry Road Church of Christ, a Rotarian, and owner and operator of Piggly Wiggley stores.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Alyene Baker of West Monroe; one daughter, Paula Baker and husband Bill of Atlanta, GA; one daughter-in-law, Linda Baker of Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Tiffany Murdoch and husband Tim, Josh Baker and Stefani Baker; two sisters, Berniece White and Marianna Mears; and a special friend, Madga Cabrera of Corpus Christi, TX. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Dennis Baker.

Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park with arrangements by Owens Memorial Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Memorials may be made to World Radio, 3201 North Seventh, West Monroe, LA 71291.
