Abraham was the son of Abraham Herr Brubacher and Magdalena Eshleman. According to some Ancestry family trees, Abraham's father Abraham was the son of Abraham Meyer Brubacher (abt 1695 Switzerland) and Maria Herr (abt 1702 Germany). Abraham Meyer was the son of Hans Bruppacher. Maria may have been the daughter of Christian Herr (abt 1675) and Anna Bare. Abraham's mother Magdalena was also a Brubacher, Abraham's third cousin through common great-great grandparents Peter Brubacher (1595) and Anna Pfister). She was the daughter of Daniel Eshelman (May 2 1697-1749) and Elizabeth Brubacher (1706-1745). Their oldest known Brubacher ancestor is considered to be Rutschli Bruppacher (1540 Switzerland). Research relied upon seems to be mainly the work of Richard Warren Davis-Emigrants, Refugees, and Prisoners- Volume II.

Abraham was married to Anna Shirk. He was the first pastor of Indiantown Mennonite Church in Clay Township. Their known children were:

1-David S Brubacher (1803)
2-John Brubacher (Dec 17 1805)
3-Abraham Brubacher (1806)
4-Maria Brubacher (1809)
5-Jacob S Brubaker (Dec 18 1811)
6-Peter Brubacher (Jan 23 1816)

[According to the extensive research of Robert W. Fish on Rootsweb, Abraham and his wife Anna were buried on the Brubacher homestead with his parents and others. The research was taken from a cemetery transcription booklet of which I have a scanned copy of page 35. The cemetery was already named and listed on Findagrave with one other burial.]
