Wallace Alexander, 71, husband of Magdalene Alexander, of 1113 Shady Grove Road, passed away Feb. 13, 2005, at his residence.

Born in Jackson County, N.C., he was a son of the late Isaac and Nina Bumgardner Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Keowee Mason lodge and attended Mile Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Bruce R. Alexander and his wife Joy L. of Pickens; daughter, Paula Patten and husband Jimmy of Pickens; sisters, Catherine Littleton of Conway, Margaret Rogers of Easley; grandchildren, Isaac Alexander, Jamie Patten and Jared Patten.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Feb. 14, 2005, at Dillard Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Jim Roberts and Tommy Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Mile Creek Baptist Church, 104 Lakeside Drive, Six Mile, SC 29682 or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, S.C.

The family is at the residence.
