John B. Winters, 45 years old, a conductor on the Sparrows Point Railroad, formerly of this district, died suddenly on Saturday at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. It was not until Tuesday, four days after his death, that relatives of Mr. Winters were notified of his death. Winters, according to the hospital physicians, was suffering from pneumonia and the family was informed that an operation was performed Wednesday night. The railroad man did not regain consciousness and the address of relatives was unknown to the hospital. Mr. Winters was born near this city and was the son of the late Airhart and Catherine Winters. He is survived by one brother and five sisters, one of whom is Mrs. Charles D. Gardner, of this city, and the brother is Abraham Winters of near this city. The remains were brought to this city this Friday morning and interred in St. Benjamin's Reformed Church. James M. Stoner, funeral director.- The Times January 9, 1914
