He was married on October 7, 1900 in Putnam County to Mary Maranda Breeding (1876-1940), the daughter of J B Breeding and -- (McBride) Breeding.
A farmer living at 210 Hermitage Avenue, Nashville, he was a widower when he died of a cerebral thrombosis on November 13, 1954 at Nashville General Hospital. Burial was two days later in Wallace Cemetery, Putnam County.
