Garadena Barnes was born in Copperoplis CA in 186 to immigrant parents Lammert Jennsen Bargmann and his wife Gretje Janssen 'Mnnie' Meijer according to recordings her father Lammert wrote in a family bible. Her full name as written on the Bible page is Gergardina Janssen Bargmann. Her parents were from hage which was in Holland(But not to be confused with the Hague, south of Amsterdam which is different than Hage, Holland which is in the northern most of Holland near the German border. Her siblings are as follows: 1. Elizabeth 'Bess' Christina Bargmann b. in Hage Holland 1856-d 1947 2. Ollie Ahltie Bargmann b 1858 in CA d 1875, 3. Hoyer 'Joe' Janssen Bargmann b CA 1860-d 1991, 4. Johanna Janssen B in CA argmann b 1862 d?, 5. Lammert Jennsen Bargmann b 1866 d. ?, 6. Edward Henry Bargmann b CA 1869 d 1947 ans 7. Wilhelminia 'Minnie ' J Bargmann b in CA 1872-d 1970.
Their father Lammert died in the desert while trying to cross by car and partially by walking from Tx/AZ borders into CA. His body was found abt 6 months after he attempted this fatal trip. His remains might have been buried where they were found. It is known now where his remains are buried. Her mother Gretje maybe be buried in AZ. No grave has yet been found for her.
