General contractor James Edward Woolfolk died on January 14, 1999, in West Suburban Hospital, Oak Park IL, from a blood clot following hernia surgery.

Born in Gethsemane, Arkansas, Mr. Woolfolk attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff before moving to Chicago. He met his wife, Sandra, more than 25 years ago during services at Mount Hebron Church, 3445 W. Douglas Blvd.

Owner of a general contracting firm, J & J Building Maintenance, Mr. Woolfolk enjoyed spending leisure hours outdoors, including camping, fishing, and golfing.

Mr. Woolfolk is also survived by his sons Joseph and Harold, father Cozy Woolfolk, and brother Lamorise Woolfolk.

Funeral services were Tuesday [January 19, 1999]. Burial will be at 10 o'clock today [January 20, 1999] at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Hillside.
