Mrs. Pauline Underwood
NORTH JUDSON -- Mrs. Pauline Underwood, 89, of 900 S. High St., Bloomington, Ind., died at 2:12 p.m. Sunday in the Bloomington Hospital. She had been a patient in the hospital since May 16. She was born in North Judson April 2, 1875, and had lived in North Judson until 1935 when she moved to Knox, and four years ago she moved to Bloomington to live with a daughter, Mrs. Bette Barr. She was married Jan. 23, 1904, at North Judson, to Ote Underwood, who died June 19, 1935. She is survived by one son, Kern Underwood of Bloomington and the daughter, Mrs. W. M. (Bette) Barr of Bloomington; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Dux of Kankakee, Ill., and Henry Dux, of Kouts; and three sisters, Miss Emma Dux, and Mrs. Elizabeth Humphrey, both of Niles, and Mrs. Minnie Schwartz, Logansport. Friends may call in the McCormick Funeral Home, North Judson, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Norman Bernig, pastor of the Knox Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, North Judson.
