Charlene Adams Maynard beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away of natural causes on September 27, 2015, surrounded by her family. Charlene Maynard was born, July 7, 1933 to Charley and Minnie Nance Adams. She grew up in Layton on the family farm where she worked tirelessly with her father, whom she loved dearly. Char graduated from Davis High School and LDS Business College.

While working at Hill Air Force Base, she met and married William (Bill) Maynard, August 30 1952. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married for 49 years before his passing in 2002. Together they had two daughters and a son. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings, her favorite, being a visiting teacher.

She had a passion for horses. She was a member of the Boots and Saddle’s Riding Club. She loved camping, fishing, and traveling North America. Despite being an excellent cook, she loved to eat out with her sister and brother-in-law. Char was very involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives.

Char was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her twin sister Nancene Facer and son-in-law Pete Peterson, grandchildren Steven Cole Harper and Stephanie Maynard Saxey. She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Peterson, Constance (Steve) Harper, Gary (Shauna) Maynard, ten grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
