J. E. Swiney passed away at Mercy hospital. He was past 72 years of age. On Feb 1, 1873, he was united in marriage with Lydia A. Arbogast, and to this union was born three sons – Chaunce H. of this city, Frank of Farmer City, Ill., and E. Earie of Urbana, Ill. His wife and three sons survive him, the two sons from away arriving before their father’s death. In the spring of 1901, Mr. and Mrs. Swiney moved to a farm near Highview, and in the spring of 1906 they located in Iowa Falls, where they remained until 1911. Since that time, Webster City has been their home.
