Julius was the son of James and Julia (Coffin) Bliss. He married Mary Jane Mathias in 1871 and they had 7 children. Late in his life he would be commited to the Rock County Alms house due to, as it is told, him being an Alcoholic. Cause of death was consumption. His grave is not marked and the cemetary is not sure exactly where he is burried, though they know it is near his parents.
