Walter R.(obinson), better known by his friends and neighbors as "Uncle Walt" was born in Buffalo Valley August 22, 1844, died at Bloomington Springs April 12, 1928 after an illness of 4 months, lived 83 years, 7 months, 20 days. Mr. Anderson was married 3 times and in addition to his last wife, M.E. Gentry Dodson Anderson (Aunt Bet) is survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Sam Leftwich, Silver Point, Rt. 3, of a family of 13, having never raised any children of his own. Uncle Walt spent his entire life in Putnam County and was known by most everyone in the community west of Cookeville, having lived the last 15 years at Bloomington Springs. He was a member of the Baptist church for more than 69 years. His friends were all who knew him. Never had a harsh word with a neighbor in his life, was a good husband, and friendly to the poor. His remains were laid to rest in the Smellage graveyard near Boma, TN, April 13. Funeral services were conducted by the brothers, J. D., Alonzo Harries, and J. W. Stone.
