IN MEMORY

Daughter of Joseph and Victoria Stark Anteau

Anna was living with her family at 604 East First Street, in the Third Ward of the city of Monroe, Michigan when she died from heart problems.

Aged 17 years, 3 months, 2 days

*Sunday evening at five o'clock Miss Anna V. Anteau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anteau, died very suddenly from heart failure brought on by pneumonia. She had been ill for four weeks and her recovery seemed assured, but Sunday evening death came without warning, while she was conversing with those at her bedside. She was born in this city December 11,1886, and was educated at St. Mary's Academy. The funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church and Fr. Downey paid a feeling tribute to the beautiful young life that had been so untimely ended. She was a member of the Young Ladies Sodality, who attended in a body, and the funeral was an unusually large one, showing how many friends she had won and retained. Besides her parents she leaves a sister and four brothers.

Keep hold of precious memories,
Each one is full of love,
Our Angels made those memories,
Now in Heaven above

Services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on March 16, 1904, Weber & Nadeau, undertakers were in charge of burial. Name of father spelled Antiau in obituary, death record for Anna has her father as Anteau.
