Ruth May Johnson, 86, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at Fair View Transitional Health Center.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors chapel. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel.

She was born Ruth May Boshear on June 30, 1911, at Lott, Texas. On Sept. 5, 1929, she married Johnie W. Johnson at Texas. From 1972 to 1991 she lived in Grants Pass, then moved to Sacramento. She returned to Grants Pass in 1995.
Johnson enjoyed traveling and picnics.
She is survived by three daughters, Janet Smith of Foster City, Calif., Monetta Rushworth and Diana Moore, both of Grants Pass; two sons, Fred Johnson of Chico, Calif., and Larry Johnson of Manteca, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie W. Johnson on May 17, 1995.
