Faustin was born to Thomas Baca and Rosita Crespin and grew up in New Mexico. He and Josephine were married on June 26, 1946, in Las Vegas, NM, had lived in the Brighton area since the 1930’s and were members of St. Augustine Catholic Church. As a young man, Faustin was a farmer, then he worked as a meat cutter for Armour Meats out of Denver for over 20 years. After that, he worked in the Maintenance Department for CU Denver and volunteered at St. Augustine Catholic Church as Alter Server, Usher and general maintenance. His hobbies included dancing, working outdoors, gardening and visiting with neighbors. He also enjoyed taking trips through the mountains, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed spending time at the Brighton Senior Center for many years. Survivors included: daughters Rose (Thomas) Perez, Greeley, and Joann Baca, Brighton; grandchildren Alicia (John) C’de Baca, Parker, and Faustin Perez, Greeley; great-grandchildren Isabella, Jakob, Allegra and Gabriela. Preceding were sons Thomas, Joseph, and Mark, two brothers, three sisters, and great-grandson Alex. Mass of Christian Burial held October 1 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
