Donald H. Thorpe, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away in his sleep October 30, 1997.

He was born on June 15, 1920, in Ephraim, Utah, to Myrle W. and Anthony H. Thorpe. Married Carrell Hatch in the Salt Lake Temple, November 20, 1945. Graduated from South High School and attended University of Utah.

Employed by Union Carbide Corporation for 20 years and later owned and operated Infra-Red Heating and Engineering Company in Denver, Colorado.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served the Lord in various capacities: as a full time missionary in Southern California; counselor to three consecutive Western States Mission Presidents; as an area Scout Representative; supervisor of the Baptistry in the Denver Temple; counselor in bishoprics in Seattle, Burlingame, and Salt Lake City; stake high counselor; and presently serving as a locator missionary at the Church Office Building.

Don loved the Lord, people, life, family, friends, music, and golf.

His delightful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all of us, especially his grandchildren.
