2) Obituary:
Mrs. Emma L. Collier, widow of the late Rev. Needham W. collier, died at the home of her son-in-law, Hon. J. D. Hargrove, in Vienna, Ga., in the morning of December 2, 1886, in the sixty-ninth year of her age. Mrs. Collier was born in Augusta Ga, in 1818, and was married to N. W. Collier in 1833.

They lived in Pulaski for several years, and then moved to southwest Georgia, living in Dougherty and Baker counties. They moved back to Pulaski, and Rev. Mr. Collier died here a few years ago. Mrs. Collier left one son and four daughters. Her only son, Mr L. F. ("Boss") Collier, returned a few weeks ago from Mississippi, where he moved last January, for the celebration of the golden wedding of Col. Oliver Jelks in Hawkinsville in 1833. Mrs. Collier and Mayor A. C. Bostwick were present at the golden celebration, and were the only guests who witnessed the ceremony fifty years before. Mrs. Jelks is the only one of the four now living.

Her remains were brought from Vienna to Hawkinsville and buried in the cemetery here on Saturday morning last, Rev. E. J. Coates officiating at the grave.
