This census indicates Martha was the mother of five children, and four were living. I can only account for three of her children.

Mrs. Mattie Moose, 80 years of age, died Saturday morning at 3:30 o'clock, in her home in Catawba county.
Mrs. Moose was born in Iredell county, a daughter of the late D. P. and Nancy Parker Moose. She leaves a son, Lee Moose of Statesville; and a daughter Mrs. Ephraim Edwards of Catawba county; three brothers--Messrs. R. L. and Mack Moose of Catawba county; J. P. Moose of Connelly Springs; and a sister, Mrs. John Byers of near Barium Springs.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock from Bethlehem Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Fletcher Lambert and Rev. R. Lee Davis. Interment was in the Bethlehem church cemetery."
