Gautier

Mr. Van Henry Bounds, 77, of Gautier died Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Sunplex Sub Acute Center in Ocean Springs.

He was a member of North Gautier Baptist Church and was a US Navy Veteran. He retired after 40 years as a pipe welder for Ingalls Ship Building.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Ida Bounds, brothers, Bill Bounds and Ira Bounds and sisters, Nancy Soley and Cleo Fore.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette Bounds of Gautier, daughters, Mary Bounds Gregory of New Orleans, Nancy Bounds of Gautier and Charlotte Nelson of Magee, grandchildren, Amara Grace Bounds of Gautier and Jacob Gregory of New Orleans, brothers, Gus Bounds of Lumberton and Millard Bounds of North Carolina and sister, Penny Lee Holliman of Wiggins.

Services will be at 11:00am Friday, September 25, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins with burial to follow in Mill Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Ida Bounds Music Scholarship-c/o Mary Ida Ellis-140 Matthew Johnson Rd. Wiggins, MS 39577.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Sunplex Sub Acute Center and Gentivia Hospice for all the love and support they have shown throughout this difficult time.
