Gerry was married to Robert A. Creek Sr. who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her granddaughter Kelsey Brinn Creek and her Grandson Mason Andrew Creek, three sisters, and one brother. Gerry leaves three sons: Robert A. Creek Jr. and wife Roberta Ford- Creek of Charleston, IL; George M. Creek and wife Beth Ann Harrris- Creek of Saint Joseph, IL ; and Thomas E. Cr eek and wife Julie Styer Creek of Covington , IN: and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews .
Gerry was born in Caraway, AR in 1934, then moved to Saint Louis, MO. After marrying Robert SR., they resided many years in Bridgeport, IL. They later moved to Bismarck, IL. Gerry was employed by Zayre department store in Danville, IL from its inception until its final closing having advanced to head cashier. While living in Bridgeport, she Robert were members of Shiloh Baptist Church. She also attended and was a member of Rock Church in Danville. Gerry was a Christian leader and assisted in the UNDERSTANDING GOD CLASS for several years. She later became a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville. She volunteered and served many years for the Republican Party, driving folks to the polls and working as an election judge.
Gerry loved square dancing and was a member of the Frontier Twirlers.
Services at Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Illinois. Burial at the Bridgeport cemetery. Services officiated by Pastor Bill Hummer.
