Son of Charles and Mary Jane Davis Miller, he married Ethel B. Adams, work at time study at the CPT, lived at 140 1/2 Grant St, Franklin, died there of lung cancer, per death certificate 37719, whose informant was Ethel B. Miller of the same address. Buried Apr 13 1955.

Oscar Davis Miller, 53, of 140 1/2 Grant Street, Franklin, died in his home Monday morning after an illness of eight months. He was born in Franklin Oct. 22, 1901, son of Charles and Mary Jane David Miller.


He was raised in Franklin, attended schools there, married in 1922 and moved to Cleveland. After seven years in Cleveland, he returned to the Franklin area in 1929, and worked at the Time Study Office of the CPT for the past 21 years. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the IOOF.


In 1922 he married Ethel B., who survives, with his mother; brother and sisters: Charles Miller, Baltimore, Mrs. Ethel Gearing, Venice, CA, Mrs. Clara Shearer, Youngstown, Mrs. Martha Henderson, Oil City; and a number of nieces and nephews.


Services will be at Hoovler Funeral Home at 2 pm Wednesday with Rev. Howard Ruth, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating, Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
