Fred Guy Watts, 85, of May Street, Dunn, died Thursday at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center, Lillington. He was born in Rockingham. Mr. Watts was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired manager of Sears in Dunn. Mr. Watts was a member of North Clinton Avenue Baptist Church in Dunn, where he served as a deacon, treasurer and choir member. Funeral services held at North Clinton Avenue Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents Vernon Watts and Louise McCaskill Watts; brothers, Vernon Watts Jr., Floyd Watts and Lloyd Watts.
Survived by wife Glois Gregory Tew Watts; daughters, Kathy Watts Avret and husband Ron of Mansfield, Ga., Trudie Watts Wilburn of Raeford, Kimberly Watts Snead and husband Wayne of Erwin; stepson, Marshall Tew and wife Kim of Dunn; brother, Mickey Watts of Millan, Mich.; grandchildren, Shawn Norris, Matthew Lucas, Joshua Lucas, Kyle Wilburn, Elizabeth Tew and Elissa Tew; and a greatgrandson, Landon Lucas.
