BOONEVILLE – Zana Caver Hill, 92, of Booneville, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at her home. She was born July 25, 1919, to William Luther and Minnie Belle Breedlove Caver. She was a graduate of New Site High School and Wood College in Mathiston, where she served as president of Wood College Alumni Association. In addition to a full life given in service to her family, she was formerly employed by the Prentiss County Welfare Department and the Northeast Mississippi Junior College Cafeteria. She was a member of Candlers Chapel Baptist Church and a faithful supporter of Meadow Creek United Methodist Church through the years.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Ruth Whatley and son-in-law, William Wayne Whatley, of Columbus, Ga.; a son, Larry David Hill of Baldwyn; a grandson, Logan David Hill of Birmingham; three stepgrandsons, William Wayne Whatley Jr. and his wife, Joy, of Montgomery, Ala., Ansel Gideon Whatley of Columbus, Ga., and Clarence Hill Whatley of Auburn, Ala.; and seven stepgrandchildren, Hill Whatley, Jane Whatley, Billy Whatley, Stephanie Whatley, Jacob Whatley, Michael Campbell and Michele Campbell.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Maurice Logan Hill; and her seven brothers, Fred Caver, Hershel Caver, Olen Caver, W.L. Caver Jr., Horace Caver, Ralph Caver and Harmon Caver.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to D.W. Mathis and Alma Vuncannon, special friends and caregivers.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
