Carl E. Badgley Jr., age 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Lynden.

He was born September 7, 1927 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Carl and Freda Badgley. He moved out to Bellingham, Washington as a toddler, and resided in Whatcom County the rest of his life.

He married Kathleen G. Golly on June 9, 1950 at Central Lutheran Church in Bellingham. Carl graduated from Bellingham High School and briefly attended Western Washington University. He then worked for The Bellingham Herald until he retired.

He spent his retirement with his wife Kathleen traveling to craft fairs with their ceramic business, camping, reading, and driving out to Birch Bay to watch the water with fast food for dinner.

A Public Graveside will be held on Monday, September 21st at 1:30 p.m. at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham, with a reception to follow in the Whatcom Room at Moles Farewell Tributes in Bellingham.
