LaJoyce Betty-Jean Kallas, of Evart, passed away Saturday May 2, 2015, at her home. She was 85. Mrs. Kallas was born March 20, 1930, to Nicholas and Winifred (Clark) Kallas. Mrs. Kallas was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, Peter, Bill, Henry and Ephram, two sisters, Lula Bissett and Donna Marrs. Mrs. Kallas worked and retired from Mercy Hospital in Muskegon after 18 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and was known as the Christmas lady in the Evart area. Funeral services for LaJoyce Betty-Jean Kallas are 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7th, at the Corey Funeral Home, Evart, MI. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 6th and 1 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may directed to the wishes of the family.
