Patsy Ruth Eppes, 91, of Silsbee, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was born on March 21, 1924, in Mount Rose, to Julia Carl James Peebles and John Alvin Peebles.
Mrs. Eppes and her late husband founded and operated numerous successful companies. She was a resident of Silsbee for sixty-three years; a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Silsbee; a life long business leader; and served on numerous corporate boards.
Survivors include her son, Steve Eppes and his wife, Lisa, of Kountze; grandchildren, Alex Eppes of Bakersfield, California; Bryan Eppes and his wife, Amanda, of Lumberton; Hunter Eppes and his wife, Jenifer, of Dallas; and Jacob Eppes and his wife, Kacie, and Leigh Eppes, all of Kountze; great-grandchildren, Landon Eppes and Lucas Eppes of Lumberton and Grayson Eppes of Kountze; sister, Carline Snead; sister-in-law, Dusty Peebles; cousins, nieces, and nephews; and longtime friend, Mona Plunk.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ross Eppes; daughter, Patricia Eppes; sisters; Lettie Aylor, Maggie Jacobs, Love Monroe, and Lillian Hayes; and brothers, Tony Peebles and Pete Peebles.
A gathering of Mrs. Eppes family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, 670 North 5th Street, Silsbee, with her interment at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston.
