She will be greatly missed by her adoring husband of nearly 60 years, Stephen Johnson; their son, Mark Johnson and his wife Suzanne; their daughter, Jyl; and grandchildren, Micah, Hannah, Belle and Lucia; Nancy's sister, Frances and her family; Joe and Ilmi Wilson and their family; Stephen's brother, Gary and his wife Pat along with their family; and more family and friends than we could ever name from southern Illinois, Texas and just about everywhere else in the world.
Nancy took the world by storm beginning in 1932 in Fairfield, Illinois, where she was raised, and she never slowed down for a minute. She moved with her husband and children to Kermit, Texas, in 1957, then to Odessa in the early 1990s. With a fierce love for her family, her work, school and her churches, she was driven to improve upon everything from nursing and teaching to demonstrating her desire to nurture her favorite people with her signature homemade gifts that she would stay up all night baking or sewing. Well known for her relentless pursuit of her doctorate in nursing, pioneering rural clinics to improve women and children's health and perfection in all things, she will live on through her legacy of inspiration in the hearts of all who knew her.
Nancy will always be remembered as a spirited, competitive woman of high standards and in honor of this, the family asks that those wishing to honor her make a contribution to her favorite charity, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,

A private family service will be at a later date.
