Mrs. Florence Tyo
Mrs. Florence E. Tyo, 85, of Philo Route 1, a former resident of 17 Maysville Avenue, South Zanesville, died at 2:20 p.m. Monday at Bethesda Hospital where she had been a patient since Jan. 2.
She had previously resided two months in Lighthizer Nursing Home, 533 Glendale Avenue. She spent most of her life in this area.
She was born Aug. 18, 1886, in Wellston, a daughter of Bryce and Elizabeth Kessler Martin. Her husband, Levi Edward Tyo, died in 1959.
Mrs. Tyo was a member of South Zanesville Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are four sons, O.E. Tyo of Deltona, Fla., Gerald Tyo of 647 Spangler Drive, James W. Tyo of Canfield and Lee Tyo of St. Albans, W.Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Samuel (Audrey) Riston of Columbus and Mrs. Paul (Florence) Pryor of Philo Route 1; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Mattie) Woollet of Wellston and Mrs. Edward (Lily) Grant of Mishawaka, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, John Martin; three sons, Delbert, Paul and John; and a daughter, Thelma, are deceased.
Friends may call at Bryan Funeral Home 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
