Despite what her death certificate says, Louise was born in Pennsylvania. Her father was Lloyd Garrison Dunbar of Cherryfield, Maine. He was a shipbuilder who worked in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her mother's name was Maria (maiden name unknown), b. 1882, in New York. Louise also had a younger brother named Harry, b. 1909, New York. The family lived in Troy, New York, which could be the reason why it's listed as Louise's place of birth.

In 1930 Louise is single, living in Los Angles and working as a waitress. In 1940 Louise is married and the wife of Arthur Bowman. Where things get interesting is when Arthur dies. His obituary lists his first wife, Phoebe, as surviving him which implies he could have been a polygamist. What is certain is that Louise committed suicide less than four months after Arthur's passing.

Another mystery in all this is, the informant listed on her death certificate, Sam Raynor, Find a Grave Memorial ID# 85494326, is buried next to her.

Louise's mom died sometime between 1920 - 1930. Her father, Lloyd, ended up in Fort Pierce, Saint Lucie, Florida, where he died in 1967. Unknown what became of her brother.
