Virginia Isenhour Caskey, 87, formerly of Cedar Street in Mooresville, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at Brian Center. She was born in Mecklenburg County on Oct. 17, 1919, a daughter of the late Wilson and Beatrice Arledge Isenhour.

Mrs. Caskey was a cost accountant at Burlington Mills. A charter member of AARP South Iredell Chapter, she was one of the first women to be an elder and deacon at Centre Presbyterian Church.

Her husband, Clinton Caskey, died in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Newell Isenhour, and a sister, Odessa Isenhour.

Survivors include a son, Rev. Charles C. Caskey and wife, Thayer, of Waukegan, Ill.; two granddaughters, Katherine Caskey and Stephanie Caskey, both of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Evelyn Brannon of Mooresville; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 atCentre Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Howard officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parker Building Fund, Centre Presbyterian Church, Centre Church Road, Mooresville,NC 28117. Neill Funeral Home served the family.
