Florence C. Schneider, age 86, formerly of Cambridge City, died Saturday, March 28, in Mandeville.
She was born on August 16, 1912, in Oak Forest, the daughter of Michael and Mary Ann (Ertel) Amrhein. She has lived all of her life in Cambridge City before moving to Mandeville, Louisiana two years ago. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City and was a member of the Altar Society of the church. She was active in the Western Wayne Senior Citizen's and played in the Kitchen Band.
Her husband, Lawrence Edward Schneider, died October 26, 1976.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Beth Mitchell of Connersville; two sons, Paul E. Schneider of Mandeville, Louisiana and Dennis L. Schneider of Hagerstown; one sister, Esther Moster of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, Raymond Amrhein of Connersville; 11 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister and nine brothers.
The funeral mass were held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City, with Father John Luerman officiating.
