GASTONIA - Myrtle Hopper Williams, 80,died March 21, 2002.

She was a native of York County, S.C., daughter of the late Rufus B. and Etta Mae Hopper.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Saturday, McLean Founders Chapel, Gastonia

INTERMENT: Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum

VISITATION: 6-8 tonight, McLean Funeral Home, Gastonia

Mrs. Williams was a charter member of St. John’s Methodist Church, which is now Myers Memorial United Methodist Church. She was very active in the church and a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group.

SURVIVORS: Husband, of Gastonia; son and daughter-in-law, of Raleigh; brother of Smyrna, S.C.; sisters, Mildred , Gastonia, Ann , Gastonia, Effie , Gastonia, Margaret, Clover, S.C.; grandchildren, Brian and Jacqueline, Raleigh.
