Mr. David Honaker, age 63, of the Indian Creek section of Bee, Virginia, passed away Saturday (September 12, 2015) in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born May 20, 1952 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late James L. Honaker and Opal Honaker Altizer. A lifelong resident of the southwest Virginia area, he was a member of Duty Pentecostal Church. He was a disabled truck driver, having been employed by E. Dillon and Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Altizer.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Honaker of the home; one daughter, Michelle Harris and her husband, Stacy of Bee; two sons, Brandon Farmer and wife, Lindsay of Piney Flats and Tony Honaker and wife, Stephanie of Swords Creek; four grandchildren, Mackenza Harris, Landon Harris, Abby Farmer, and Chandler Honaker; two brothers, Roger Honaker and wife, Shirley of Gardner and Wayne Honaker and wife, Linda of Marysville, Ohio; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. James Tiller, Rev. Joe Deairy, and Rev. Tim Lester officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Derek Ray, Craig Tiller, Jeff Tiller, Nathan Wilson, Shane O’Quinn, Jeff Hawkins, Timothy Howard, Gary O'Quinn and Greg Ball.
Honorary pallbearers will be Keith O’Quinn, Buck O’Quinn, Dexter Ray, Jerry Fletcher, Billy Rasnake, Lester Tiller, James Tiller, Hershel Perrigan, and Frank O’Quinn.
Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
