GALVESTON - Helen Ruth Victorian, 56, met with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 11, 2000, at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2000, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, Galveston, Texas with Pastor A. M. Morton, officiating.
Graveside services will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13,; 2000, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Victorian was born March 12, 1944, in Houston, Texas, to Broughton and Evelyn Pool.
She loved to crochet, do needle point, was an excellent cook and dedicated her life to her family, church and friends. She enjoyed the last few weeks of her life with her daughter, Marie Pena. She was know to be independent and generous, always willing to help those who were in need. She was a member of Abundant Life Church of Galveston.
Preceded in death by her mother, sister, Darlene Andrews and brother, William Pool, Mrs.
Victorian is survived by her husband, Frank D. Victorian of Galveston; daughter, Evelyn Marie Pena and husband,
David, of Texas City; devoted niece, Angela King; son, Johnny Smith of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Amber and Ralph Kellum and Steven Smith who was loved and raised by his special "Mama"; father, Boyd Pool and wife Dorothy of Irving, Texas; sisters, Sally Rumker and husband, Paul of Oklahoma and Naomie Moore of Missouri,- brothers, David Pool of Arlington, Texas, and Jerry Pool and wife, Marline of Grand Prairie, Texas; devoted friend, Carol Cruz of Galveston; numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be David Pena, Steven Smith, Ralph Kellum, Eric Puentes, Randy Miller and Chance Schmidt.
Honorary pallbearers are Tom Geiger and Tom Rice.
