At her home in the north-eastern part of the county, June 18th, Mrs. Marietta G. Prewitt, wife of Squire Wm. F. Prewitt. The remains were interred in the cemetery here and funeral services at the grave by Rev. Richard French. Mrs. Prewitt was originally Miss Gaitskill. She leaves a husband and one child, Mrs. R.P. Taylor. She was a good woman and the long procession of carriages that accompanied her remains to their last resting place attested the respect and esteem for her in the minds of those who knew her best.

R.P. Taylor was appointed administrator of Mrs. Marietta Prewitt with B.F. Curtis, J.H. Evans and N.P. Gay, appraisers.

Mrs. Marietta Prewitt leaves all her property to her daughter, Mrs. R.P. Taylor, and, at her death, to her living children and heirs of dead ones. Her daughter is to take care of testator’s husband, W.F. Prewitt, during his life. The will bears a date of May 6, 1896.
