LEWISTOWN-- Agnes C. Smithson, 83, of Heartland Health Care Center in Canton, formerly of 932 S. Main St., died Thursday, Feb. 24, 1994, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

Born Dec. 29, 1910, in Illinois to Charles N. and Kate Beuhler Swope, she married Landolin E. Eberle. She later married Charles Smithson in 1959. He died in 1963. Three brothers and fours sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Lorraine Wells of Farmington; one stepdaughter, Betty Herrick of Dunfermline; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was a cook at various restaurants. She also cared for the elderly in their homes.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown. The Rev. Martin Janicke will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
