Janet Lynn Hitson, age 68, passed away peacefully September 8, 2015 at UT Medical Center.
She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother gone to be with the Lord in a better world, but sadly missed by family, sorrow that words cannot describe.
Preceded in death by parents, Ulyes and Pearl Kirkland; brothers, Bobby, Reed and Paul Kirkland; sister, Ruth Starnes; nephew, Randy Greene; mother-in-law, Marie Shoffner; brother-in-laws, Bill Greene, Harry Jackson and Mike Ridenour.
Survived by husband, Gene Hitson; sons, Vernon Williams, Christopher Hitson and Jeremy Hitson; daughter-in-law, Shannon Hitson all of Maryville; brothers, Creed Kirkland of Maryville, David Kirkland of Graysville, TN; sisters, Shirley Greene, Betty Jo Maynard, Nellie Ridenour, Jane Jackson all of Maryville; sister-in-law and husband, Ann and Benny Whitehead of Maryville; beloved grandchildren Elijah, Kaytlynn, Evelyn and Lucas Hitson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Lisa Coada and Jack Younce; beloved pet Turbo.
Family and friends will meet 10:00 AM Monday, September 14, 2015 at Lower Chilhowee Church Cemetery for the graveside and interment service Rev. Kenny Carpenter officiating.
