Bernice (Guier) Abernathy of Washougal, WA, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. She was born in Peru, Kansas, on November 24, 1931 and her family moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1943. Bernice graduated from Vancouver High School in 1949.
She married Kenneth Abernathy in 1950.
After graduation, she became a dental assistant until starting a family in 1953.
Bernice was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth; and all 9 of her brothers and sisters (She was the youngest.).
She is survived by sons, Rodney Abernathy of Portland, OR, Gary (Carol) Abernathy of North Carolina; daughter, Carol (Keith) Baker of Washougal; grandsons, Aaron (Julianna) Baker, Ryan Baker, Stephen Meyers; granddaughter, Brandy Meyers; and great-grandchildren, Halia Baker, Owen Baker, Morgan Baker.
A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, September 13, at Camas Meadows Golf Club, 4105 NW Camas Meadows Drive from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are encouraged to stop by and share stories/memories of Bernice.
