Glenn Albert Rohwer, 47, died May 9, 1997, at the Providence Alaska Medical Center. A memorial service was at the Berean Bible Church, 55th Avenue and Old Seward Highway with the Rev. Lenny Hartman officiating.

Mr. Rohwer was born Aug. 12, 1949, in Bellingham, Wash., to Glen and Lorraine Schaffer Rohwer. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1967 and Western Washington University in 1971 with a bachelor's degree in history and political Science. Mr. Rohwer served in the U. S. Navy and came to Alaska in 1973 where he was a manufacturer representative with Rohwer & Co. He was a member of the Berean Bible Church, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and was active in AWANA.

His hobbies included family, pets, home, church, fishing, woodwork, garage sales and antiques. His family stated: ''Glenn was a good and faithful servant of his Lord Jesus Christ. He sacrificially laid down his life for his family and always put others' needs before his own. He is greatly loved and will be missed.''
