Murial O. Eliason, 78, of rural Renner died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 Palisade Healthcare Center in Garretson after a long illness.

Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 11, 2015 at East Side Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls. Visitation with the family present will from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Thursday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Burial will be in the West Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery, Baltic.

Murial was born on August 2, 1937 in Faribault, Minnesota to the parents of Carl and Tena (Johnson) Dokken. The family moved to Badger, Iowa and she attended and graduated from Fort Dodge High School. She attended and graduated from Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa in 1957. She was very active in the Waldorf College Choir and studied music.

Murial met Glenn Eliason while working at East Side Lutheran Church and they married on May 28, 1960 at East Side Lutheran Church. After their marriage, they lived and farmed near Renner.
Murial loved to sing, teach piano, and was a member of the East Side Lutheran Church Choir and accompanied the Norse Glee Club Choir. She also was church organist.

Grateful for having shared her life; son Carl (Pam) Eliason, Renner, daughter Ellen Eliason, Rushford, MN; four grandchildren, Logan and Lindsey Eliason; Kipp and Megan Schossow; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband-Glenn, her brother Carl Dokken, her parents, and grandson- Devin Eliason.
